East Coast Beer Pong Championships

Results:
Recap:

Few words can describe how intense the competition was at the first annual East Coast Beer Pong Championships. The best players from the East Coast and beyond converged on Laurel Park to create possibly the toughest concentration of beer pong talent the world has ever seen. When the dust settled, the final two teams were Vote for Pressely Jade 3x a Day made up of Vince Bolhuis (MI) and Jason Chichester (FL) versus Maryland's own Projectile Dysfunction. Vote for Pressely won the opening finals game and Projectile rallied to win the second. In the third and final game, Vote for Pressely's consistent shooting outmatched the often times streaky shooting of Projectile Dysfunction and they were crowned the first ever East Coast Champions.

The #1 seed through the first day of competition, It's Too Easy, made up of Thomas Reap (VA) and Jon Basile (NY) lost only to Projectile Dysfunction and finished the day in 3rd place. They defeated the similarly names 4th place finishers, Stupid Fuckin' Easy comprised of Brandon Marx (AZ) and Zack Luckey (MO). The 5th and 6th place match-up was taken by Too Legit To Quit featuring Kris Fraser (NJ) and Kyle Williams (NJ) who defeated 2-time World Series of Beer Pong champion Smashing Time. The only other Maryland representative in the top 8 was Urinal Cakes who fell to Team Posada in the 7th place consolation match.

Here's a summary of the top 8:

  1. Vote for Pressely Jade 3x a Day (MI & FL)
  2. Projectile Dysfunction (MD)
  3. It's Too Easy (VA & NY)
  4. Stupid Fuckin' Easy (AZ & MO)
  5. Too Legit To Quit (NJ)
  6. Smashing Time (NY)
  7. Team Posada (NY)
  8. Urinal Cakes (MD)
