What a week. I need to start carrying a little pad and pen around to capture all of crazy events that happen. Events have muddied and I’m not even sure where to begin this one. I guess I’ll start by saying thank you to Ty Pearmon (Pongability) for venturing back out to Nobles this weekend. I know it must be nerve racking always looking over your shoulder for the next group of girls that may beat you up. However, you came out anyway, and thankfully without incident. God speed! So, anybody have a rough day at work after league on...

Week 2 of the Germantown Summer League was full of trash talk, broken dreams, and glory. Once again coming out on top for the week was Germantown Summer League finishing up with a 12-3 record. Behind them at 11-4 on the week was Triscuits and Biscuits. The last team with double digit wins on the week was Carlton Banks at 10-3. For the complete results for week 2, check out the league page.

Who's In Your Mouth? (12-3)
The Summer officially kicked off in Federal Hill yesterday with the start of the Summer League. McAllister led the way with a 13-2 record and a league high 0.63 RPI. Dixie Normous and Fuck Duke also turned in 13-2 records on the opening league night. Right behind them were the night's 12-3 finishers: 4 Sale! and Pong-a-bility. The other double digit winners were The Pong Show (11-4), Wolf Pack of Two (11-4), We Blackout on Weekends (10-4), Bango and Splash (10-5), Wet Ballz (10-5). Check out the complete results on the league page. We hope everyone had...

Before I became an abrasive, politically incorrect and violent Barn Animal, I was a mostly-innocent kid. Not only that, but I was probably one of the dorkiest kids ever. In second-grade, I got a pair of glasses and a fucked-up haircut and it was all downhill from there. And I loved Michael Jackson.

To this day, my older sister still makes fun of me for being so scared I cried during the “Thriller” video. I was such a big Michael Jackson fan that I became a Weird Al Yankovic fan because he parodied one of my favorite songs. I tuned...

Welcome to the 2nd edition of "The Woodshed". Today I'll be discussing national level competitions, starting my new feature called "Film Study", and finally we'll find out who's been taken to the woodshed this week.

National Level Competitions

It was 2005 and Jim and I had just started Maryland Beer Pong. Browsing the internet I ran into a little website called BPONG.COM where I read about an upcoming event in Mesquite Nevada called the World Series of Beer Pong. At first I was a little skeptical. I emailed Billy, one of the founders of BPONG, asking him if it was...

Week 1 of the Germantown Summer League came out to an exciting start with plenty of new faces, new partnerships, and tons of beer pong action. Leading off the week is Who's In Your Mouth? who went 12-3. Behind them is Uncreative who went 11-4 despite the fact that they couldn't come up with a more creative team name. Rounding off the double digit winners for the week is 5 Peez Nugget Mayne who went 10-5. There are still plenty of spots available if anyone else is interested in joining the 301 breeding grounds. For the complete results from this...

This should really be my fourth blog. One of them was skipped, but will be edited and posted sometime over the Summer. I was worried that I wasn’t going to have much to write about this week, but of course one night at the bar is all I need to get some material. It’s currently 3:57 am.

Tonight was the big Taps satellite tournament. I couldn’t attend because of work reasons, but I was there earlier for the behind the scenes set up. I ran into Justin from Fuck Duke pregaming more than 3 hours before the tournament would even...

Maryland's first World Series of Beer Pong Satellite of the year was a great one. The Philadelphia team We're in Ya Head made it all the way to the finals on their road trip to Charm City, but they left somewhat disappointed as Just Give Up Now came back in the final match to secure their win (video: game 1 & game 2). Just Give Up Now will make the trip to Vegas after an impressive 12-0 prelim performance at the world series earlier this year. Fuck Duke came one miss away from the finals on two separate occasions...

I know expecting the Tuesday Morning Bring-Back to come out on Tuesday morning is a lot like expecting the Mantis to lose his virginity. Chances are slim. When I first started out in January, I got tons of feedback which really motivated me to keep things moving. As time went on, I got less and less feedback. The Tuesday Morning Bring-Back became the Tuesday Afternoon Bring-Back and then the Every Other Tuesday Morning Bring-Back and now the Friday Morning Bring-Back. With the recent blog offerings from Jim and Austin, however, I have once again found my inspiration. I also didn’t...

It was the first day of what was undoubtedly going to be a long, long weekend. The setting was The Ballroom of Resorts Casino in Atlantic City. My beer pong day was just beginning at 7 o'clock when I entered the opening round of the 64-man 1-on-1 tournament. After two "nail biting" overtime victories, I dropped two straight disappointing match-ups which sent me off into the night. I had planned to just have a few beers, gamble, and maybe get some sleep. As I made my way out of the ballroom, I ran into the Barn Animal who needed a...
