Week 6 of the Laurel Summer League was exciting with just about all of the league teams present. P.G.'s Finest dominated the day posting a 14-1 record. Two other teams posted double digit wins and they were Pong or Die at 10-3 and High Low at 10-5. The overall standings tightened up and the race for 2nd and 3rd place...

The Summer Washington, DC 1-on-1 Tournament was one of the most heated battles this summer for beer pong. Winning his second 1-on-1 tournament of the year, Sean Foster swept through the winner's bracket and came out 1 cup ahead of second place Steph Bertrand (video) who started out in the loser's bracket after a first round forfeit. In third place was the Mantis who had an impressive run in the winners bracket before being squashed by both Foster and Steph. In 4th place was DC's very own Jeff Gillen. The 5th-6th place match deciding the last qualifying...

It was a packed house last night in Federal Hill where the first ever Baltimore Ladies Championship was held. The title of Ladies' Champ goes to Team 711 who defeated Whore Island on their way to an undefeated performance (video). Finishing in 3rd place and literally one shot from the finals was Beers Not All We Swallow. Wet Lipz were our fourth place finishers followed by the Wight Leights and Those Girls who ended in a 5th place tie. The tournament was a blast with a lot of close matches, elated triumphs, and crushing defeats. There will...

The tension in the air was palpable. The upstairs bar at Nobles was at maximum capacity as the mob of Maryland Beer Pong players watched the drama unfold with bated breath. Wet Ballz, the two-time defending Maryland State Beer Pong champions, were only one cup away from adding another major to their illustrious career. Just as Tiger Woods was handing his PGA Championship to the unheralded Y.E. Yang, another superstar had only one shot left to make to solidify his title as People’s Champion. The arc of Theo’s shot was reminiscent of a beautiful rainbow in Ireland, the kind created...

There is only one team in Maryland Beer Pong history that has never lost a summer league championship and that team is Wet Ballz. They were victorious in their 3rd Federal Hill Summer League Championships defeating the #6 seeded Fear of a Beer Planet in the second game of the finals (video: game 1 and game 2). The tournaments #1 seed, Dixie Normous, finished third after some grueling overtime battles placed them in the winner's bracket final. Cream Your Jeans captured the 4th place spot and qualified for the 2009 Maryland State Championships™ for the first time...

We are now half way through the season with Week 5 of the Laurel Summer League coming to a close. With the afternoon's best record, and only double digit winners at 11-4, Fuali increased their strangle hold on 1st place. Coming in 2nd for the week with their best showing yet was P.G.'s Finest at 8-4. The race for 2nd place is...

What a week! Forget about the four tournaments in eight days. This week we got treated with the 20th edition of the Tuesday Morning Bring-Back, your favorite monthly beer pong blog. Well just when you thought things couldn't get better, it's time for me to take you to The Woodshed.

In this edition of The Woodshed, I'll be reviewing "The Book of Beer Pong", the first actual book dedicated to beer pong that I'm aware of. After reading this country's average pong player's forum post, I'm not surprised at all that this is the first of its kind. Film...

The Washington, DC Summer League came to an exciting close in the nation's capital. Hearts were broken, underdogs were triumphant, and legends were made. Taking home the gold in the first ever DC league was DMX who won the final match by 8 cups over 2nd place rookies Hitchhikin' Home (video) who rumors have it, run the DC beer pong scene at another bar in DC. In third place was rookie team John Wilkes Booze which also featured one of the highest tournament placings for a woman in MDBP tournament history. In 4th place was veteran team No...

It’s the little things in life that bring us the greatest happiness. Nothing makes me happier than walking into a Chipotle at lunchtime and not having to wait in line, or getting myself worked up for a tournament only to see Fuali penciled in for our opening-round match. I can only imagine the happiness that stems from reading a long-awaited Tuesday Morning Bring-Back on a Tuesday.

I knew it had been a while, but I had no idea it’s been over a month since the last Tuesday Morning Bring-Back. A lot has changed since my last edition. So let’s recap...

The Germantown Summer League came to an exciting finish as 301's finest battled for their home title. Leaving with the gold was Carlton Banks who won in a close 2 game battle over the current #1 team in the state Who's In Your Mouth?. In the first game Who's In Your Mouth? won by 3 (video) but finally fell to the champions in the second game by 1 cup in 2 overtimes (video part 1 part 2). In third place was the brothers Durieu: There and Back Again followed by the brothers Kramek: Kramerica who...
