The weekly tournaments in Bethesda and Federal Hill will be postponed until next week due to the proximity to the World Series of Beer Pong. The biggest and best beer pong spectacle in the world kicked off on January 2nd in Las Vegas. The World Series of Beer Pong featured 468 teams, 20 of which represented Maryland, all vying for the $65,000 prize pool. This was the largest turnout from Maryland to date. When the smoke cleared and Smashing Time was crowned the repeat champions, the results looked eerily similar to the last few national tournaments.

This Wednesday at Union Jack's, MDBP is hosting a mock World Series of Beer Pong to help teams get ready for the real thing out in Vegas. The event will be divided in preliminaries and final tournament.
