I hope everyone has had an enjoyable Passover, Easter, National Jelly Bean Day, Earth Day, Paul Revere Day, and whatever other holiday members of our community celebrate. I hope I included everybody. The last thing I need to do is to ostracize another subset of MDBP. I mean; Jesus Christ!
Wait. Shit. Sorry Christians.
Ideally, you've all been able to enjoy the company of friends and family while basking in the beautiful weather. Maybe you've been able to enjoy Easter candy (sorry, diabetics), but I really hope you haven't been eating Peeps. Why do people keep buying Peeps? It's the...

The DC area league has found a new home in Bethesda at Tommy Joe's. With the addition of the new venue came a lot of new faces, new talent, and returning players from hiatus. We Make It Rain-Bows had 3 players (Gabe, Joey N., and Jeff) with 3 wins each while Here for Beer's only win came from Bill and Emily. The next largest victory of the evening was 2 Strong...
In what has become seemingly commonplace around these parts, another Tuesday came and went without a TMBB. Color me unsurprised.
But I really did plan on keeping to my bi(pause)-weekly writing plan. With actual tournaments and leagues being conducted, there's actually something to write about. But then?
Opening Day happened.
It's not like I should really be excited about the 2011 MLB season. I'm a Mets fan. Sure, I keep exchanging "Go Mets!!!" messages with The Mantis, but we both know that the Mets' bullpen is about as solid as a commitment to play in a tournament with Trae....
Yesterday's College Park Atlantic City Qualifier was interesting to say the least. The tournament's #1 seed and heavy favorite, Unbridled Enthusiasm was upset by #16 seeded The Newbies in their first tournament match. They battled back through the loser's bracket though and eventually met #3 seeded Urinal Cakes in the final. Unbridled Enthusiasm came out victorious after two long overtime matches and Jordan & Jamie won their way into the Atlantic City Championships. In 3rd place was No Distractions whose only losses of the tournament came at the hands of the two finalists. In 4th place was the #2 seeded...

Next week we look forward to welcoming an additional two squads which...
What a day it was at Laurel Park Saturday for the 4th annual Maryland Spring Classic. Participants from 10 different states traveled down to Laurel for their chance at the $2,500 prize pool.
Entering into the tournament it was Maryland's Hot Tub Slurpee who led the way with a 4-0 record and +19 cup differential. Also going undefeated was last year's champs, 1 2 Punch, Hate Us Now, McAllister, Get Mitch Or Die Tryin', Living the Sheen, and Connecticut's finest, Supa Nice. That set the stage for the 58 teams to fill the final...
