The 2007 Maryland Beer Pong season came to a close tonight at the State Championship Tournament. Congratulations to Jamie and Theo of Wet Ballz who went undefeated on Saturday and took home the 2007 Maryland state championship. Their run at the title was an extremely convincing one as they weren't forced to take any rebuttal shots the entire day and boasted a perfect game in the 3rd round. Wet Ballz will represent Maryland Beer Pong in Las Vegas at the WSOBP III. The second place finishers, We Own Your Cups, looked like they had a potential shot at the championship as they won 9 straight matches in the loser's bracket. The winner bracket finalist Drunkenballers took home the third place honors after falling to the eventual champs in the winner bracket final. In 4th place was the Carroll County natives, 2 Kids From Hampstead. The 5th and 6th place held special significance because the winners would receive the Performance Award which carries with it a free entry into the WSOBP III. #1 ranked Shawn² got the win over #2 McAllister to take earn 5th place. Last but not least, Fuck Duke defeated Whatcha Got Onat and won the 7th place match and won a major victory for College Park beer pong.
