| Answer: | MDBP is open to everyone. To join MDBP you simply sign up for an MDBP sponsored event. We run two kinds of events: tournaments and leagues. Tournaments are 1-day events using a bracket structure to narrow the field to an eventual winner. In a double-elimination tournament, teams are guaranteed two games. In single-elimination, teams are only guaranteed one match. Tournaments are typically more competitive than leagues. Leagues run typically for 8 weeks with the first 7 weeks acting as a "regular season" and the final week's league championship tournament serving as the "play-offs". Leagues are much less structured than tournaments and team's can play at their own pace. Leagues are geared both toward the social player and the competitive player. |
