There were an unprecedented number of people who wanted a chance to compete for the year's first 1-on-1 tournament title. So much that we were forced to split into two different 32-player brackets.

In the "West Bracket" at Nobles, the older McAllister brother, Jordan went undefeated as he defeated professional beer pong player Steph in the finals. In 3rd place was Jamie Behrens, one half of the Federal Hill Winter League champs: Wet Ballz. In 4th place was Mike of the infamous Mike & AJ. The top 6 was rounded out by Joey Poindexter and last year's highest ranked player: Larry Mitchell.

In the "East Bracket" at the Sly Fox Pub, 2008 Maryland State 1-on-1 Champion, Sean Foster shot a near perfect 13/14 in the finals against Rob of Team Miller Time (video). In 3rd place was the younger brother of the West Bracket champ, Ryan. In 4th place was 1-on-1 powerhouse Adam Darvick who fought through the loser's bracket to earn his place finish. In the 5th and 6th place match-up, "Jesus" Jeff defeated the Barn Animal to take the spot in this year's State Championships.

When the two champions met, Sean and Jordan had an epic match-up that ended with Foster taking both games and taking the title of grand champion. Thanks to everyone who came out to play and made the first 1-on-1 tournament of the year such an overwhelming success.
